I was employed as a Botany lecturer at MES Degree College from 13. August. 2013 – 31. August. 2016. During this time, I taught Botany to 1st, 2nd and 3rd year BSc students, and also contributed significantly to various academic and non-academic activities of the Institute.
As a class teacher for 1st year BSc, I was responsible for mentoring and guiding students in all aspects of their academic and personal lives. I was highly effective in communicating complex concepts to students and received excellent feedback from both students and faculty members.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, I was actively involved in the renovation of the Botany department, which helped to create a better learning environment for students. I also played a key role in the documentation process for the NAAC visit, which resulted in the MES Degree College being reaccredited with an ‘A’ grade.
Furthermore, I organized educational trips for students, which helped to broaden their horizons and enhance their learning experience. I also assisted in setting up of Botanical garden at MES Degree College, which has become an important learning resource for students.
Finally, I along with other faculties prepared Practical manuals for 2nd year (3rd and 4th semester) BSc students, which provided valuable guidance to students in their laboratory work.
I was appointed as a research scholar at the Department of Botany, Bangalore University from September 2016 to August 2021. During this time, I was actively involved in conducting research in the fields of green synthesis of nanoparticles, cancerous studies, and
phytochemistry, and also actively participated for the Centenary celebration of our Botany department.
As a research scholar, I was responsible for carrying out experiments, analyzing data, and presenting findings in the form of research papers and thesis work. I worked under the guidance of Dr. L Rajanna, Professor, Dept. of Botany, BUB, and contributed significantly to the research field under the title “Phytochemical analysis and Biological efficacy of Mansoa alliacea (Lam.) A. H. Gentry”.
As a teaching assistant, I assisted faculty members in preparing and delivering lectures, supervising laboratory sessions, grading assignments and exams, and providing academic support to students. I was highly effective in communicating complex concepts to students and received excellent feedback from both students and faculty members.
Additionally, I played an active role in organizing the Centenary celebration of our Botany department. I was involved in planning and coordinating various events and activities related to the celebration, such as organizing seminars, symposia, and workshops, creating publicity materials, and coordinating with other departments and organizations to ensure a successful event.
I am currently employed as a guest faculty for Botany at Bengaluru City University. I am assigned to take Taxonomy classes for Senior MSc students and have been actively involved in various academic and non-academic activities at the University.
As a guest faculty, I am responsible for delivering lectures, preparing course materials, and assessing students’ performance. I have been highly effective in communicating complex concepts to students and received positive feedback from both students and faculty members.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, I have actively participated in taking students on field trips. I have provided valuable guidance to students during these trips, helping them to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience.
